Balance fosters connection, movement, progress. Its absence prevents it.

A balanced representation can fix that. First we must:

Money, special interests and voter apathy should not influence school and municipal board elections.

Propose legislation requiring politically-proportionate board membership to the political registrations of the communities they serve.

Evaluate district or municipality's electorate composition compared to that of its school and municipal board directors.

Seek, vet and support candidates registered to underrepresented political party(ies).

Margaret Wheatley once said: "There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about."

Progress will come from proper communication of common goals. Cooperation and mutual respect will ensue.
